Message Hey everyone. This is my first post but I've been lurking around here for about 6 months. My Z finally arrived today after almost a month waiting on shipping from DAS. This car belonged to ChrisNJ, a longtime tt.net member. Don't be to hard on him for selling it, he did an awesome job building her up and I was in love the first time I sat in it.

Well, I went to the DAS terminal in Vegas today and picked her up. The guy at the lot pulls it around for me and the first thing I notice is that the lower front end is all chewed up(see pics). Looks like it was to low to put in the truck so the bastards just forced it up in. I got the damage report all in writing and took pictures with my camera phone and drove her home.

It drove great, very fast and the handling is incredible. I just wish the front end wasn't damaged. Other than that the car inside and out looks awesome. I called the shipping company and started my insurance claim. Hopefully they won't screw me around. What do you all think of the damage? It's fiberglass, anyone ever had something like this repaired?

I have a question about boost, BOVs and the turbo timer. Driving it home, the boost guage in the pillar pod had the boost psi levels in the negative, or whatever you call no boost, below 0. I kept the RPMs pretty low, around 3000-3500 in 5th gear. When I would get on it a bit the guage would go past 0 and then into boost, I could feel it kick in, and then it would go up to between 5-7 but no higher. Does this sound normal? I was being gentle with it, I could of dropped into 4th or even 3rd to bring the RPMs past 5 or 6 grand but I never did. Do you really have to get the rpms up there to get into the higher boost levels? How would you tell if it was in saftey boost? I was running just enough toluene to get the octane up to 93, which it was tunned at 17psi for at SGP.

Now I never heard the blow off valves, is this because I barely boosted? What kind of psi do you have to get for the BOVs to release pressure? And finally, the turbo timer never let the engine idle. It just turned off like a normal car.

Well, please tell me your thoughts. The car is a blast to drive, the short throw shifter really allows for quick shifts. Thanks.
